HISTORY
Yachts In Greece started in 2015 as a photography and lifestyle project to promote beautiful yachts that are spotted in the amazing ideal scenery of the Greek Islands. moreover our goal was and still is to connect yacht lovers and enthusiasts from all over the world. Greece is the country with the 11th largest coastline holding this place in the Global Ranking just behind China. With 13676 klm and 6000 islands (227 islands are inhabited) scattered among the Aegean and Ionian Sea and also combining the blue clean waters these seas have to offer, we could not imagine a better environment for our yachting photography project. Soon after a few months from the launch of our website and Instagram account we had a lot of requests for chartering and cruises especially in the Cyclades Islands complex. Being from Greece and travelling for more than 20 years to the Greek Islands we have also developed excellent relationship with the most exclusive restaurant, clubs, beach restaurants in the Greek islands, especially in Mykonos, Santorini and Paros giving us and to our clients preferable treatment and helping us arranging tables in major events even at the peak of the summer Season. FROM DAILY CRUISES AROUND MYKONOS AND TO THE ISLANDS OF DELOS AND RINEIA TO WEEKLY YACHT TRIPS AND 15 DAYS CHARTERS AT THE IONIAN SEA WE HAVE THE EXPERIENCE TO MAKE YOUR VACATION DREAM COME TRUE.

Over the last 2 years we are working together with yacht owners and central agents which we chose carefully, having the same criteria as us: Love for the Greek Seas and Love for Yachting. We choose our partners who maintain their yachts to the best immaculate condition and work with sheer professionalism. Our fleet meets the highest standards of safety on board and our captains and polite crew will meet your needs and expectations.

THE HISTORY OF YACHT /jɒt/
A yacht is a recreational boat or ship. THE TERM ORIGINATES FROM THE DUTCH WORD JACHT "hunt", and was originally defined as a light fast sailing vessel used by the Dutch navy to pursue pirates and other transgressors around and into the shallow waters of the Low Countries. After its selection by Charles II of England as the vessel to carry him to Englandfrom the Netherlands for his restoration in 1660 it came to be used to mean a vessel used to convey important persons.
In modern use of the term, yachts differ from working ships mainly by their leisure purpose. There are two different classes of yachts: sailing and power boats. With the rise of the steamboat and other types of powerboat, sailing vessels in general came to be perceived as luxury, or recreational vessels. Later the term came to encompass large motor boats for primarily private pleasure purposes as well.
